CapitalTristate's Return Procedures and Policy


At CapitalTristate, we are dedicated to customer satisfaction. That is why we have made the process of returning items as simple and expedient as possible. If you need to return the product, rest assured that we will give you the attention you need, when you need it.

With this in mind, we have made the commitment to you by creating the CapitalTristate 3-Day Prompt Return and Credit Pledge.

If you make a request to return material purchased from CapitalTristate, we will within 3 business days:

  • Pick-up the material, OR
  • Contact you for additional information/Update status

After we pick-up the material, we will within 3 business days:

  • Issue credit, OR
  • Contact you for additional information/Update status
CapitalTristate Return Guidelines

Stock Material
  • We accept for full credit any material that:
  • Was purchased from CapitalTristate*;
  • Is currently stocked at the time of the return;
  • Is unused & uninstalled;
  • Is in sellable condition; and
  • Is in original factory packaging.

*commodity materials return value based on lesser of either original purchase price for the product, or current market price for product.

Non-stock Material
Non-stock material may be returned for partial to full credit under the following conditions:

  • Return is subject to the approval of the manufacturer;
  • Freight, handling & shipping charges may be deducted from the return value based on vendor terms. This may also include additional CapitalTristate handling & freight charges on non-stock returns due to customer error.

Defective Material 
Defective material may be returned (subject to inspection) for full credit or replacement material

CapitalTristate Errors
In the event of CapitalTristate error, full credit or replacement materials will be provided.

Non-returnable Items 
The following items are exceptions to the above policies and are not returnable:

  • Items that have been installed, used or
  • Materials not purchased from CapitalTristate;
  • Outdated or expired material;
  • Cut Wire
